Acceptance is an essay away!
How much help should I seek on the essays? Who should be asked? How much help is too much?
It is expected that you will do your best work on an essay, and the essay should, of course, be your own work. No one should write it for you; and under no circumstances should you "purchase" an essay on the internet. It is also expected, however, that you will avail yourself of the resources of a counselor, your English teacher, a parent, relative, family friend, or a college essay adviser. Keep in mind that some school counselors expect to read your essay and to have the opportunity to provide some feedback from the perspective of their experience. Your English teacher will be helpful in catching technical errors. Parents have a tremendous stake in the admissions process and are often very helpful. It is, of course, an excellent idea to work with someone like the College Essay Whiz who is objective, who can view your work with a critical eye, and who can help you perfect your essay.

Testimonials
With a wave of her pen, Mrs. Kashman made the quality of my writing reflect the quality of my ideas. She has a knack for honing in on the essence of an essay and then reshaping the sentences to make them concise and compelling. I thought I had a pretty good college essay, but after meeting with Mrs. Kashman, it became a piece of writing that I was truly proud of. ~A.D., Cornell University |
