Since Mrs. Kashman had been my teacher in freshman English honors, Journalism and Advanced Journalism as well as my adviser of the award-winning newspaper, Spectrum, I knew that there was no one better to help me make my college essay stand out to the admissions committees. Although I knew what I wanted to write about, it was Mrs. Kashman's expertise that guided me to express my love of  journalism. Mrs. Kashman would read over all of my essays as well as my supplements and correct them until they were perfected. She would never alter what I wrote; instead, she would make suggestions; she would ask questions to guide me in areas that needed more detail, and she would check my spelling and grammar. Her true talent for this sort of work is remarkable.
