Acceptance is an essay away!
Heading into the college application process, I was overwhelmed just thinking about all of the essays and applications I’d have to go through in only a matter of months. Having Mrs. Kashman share her talent and expertise with me is more than I ever could have asked for. She helped me find a voice in my writing and motivated me to keep working until I was completely satisfied with my results. Thank you so much for all of your help, Mrs. Kashman! I really couldn’t have done it without you!
~ SG, UNC Chapel Hill
It was late in the application stage when I first sat down with Mrs. Kashman, and I felt overwhelmed by the daunting personal statement application requirement. I possessed a piece of writing in which I felt no pride and no connection. Instead of simply editing my work, we spent our first meeting discussing my personal history and the experiences that shaped my development. Together, we found my “voice” and decided on a subject that supported my application. I appreciated that Mrs. Kashman didn't simply write the paper for me. Instead, we developed a theme that highlighted my strengths and she helped me build my narrative in our follow-up consultations. Several admissions counselors positively referenced details of my personal statement, confirming my belief that Mrs. Kashman had helped me find the right story to tell. Mrs. Kashman's help was exactly what I needed, and now I'm attending my dream school next fall.

Thank you for all of your help. I am very happy that we, with your help and quick work, were able to submit the applications before the November 1 deadline for Early Action. I will be referring you to my friends and family for your professionalism, quick turn-around and wonderful wordsmith skills.

Mrs. Kashman was incredible as an English and Journalism teacher and as an adviser to the school newspaper for many years and has a great deal of experience. She is very knowledgeable and experienced. She was very helpful in assisting me with my college essays and making corrections and suggestions in areas that I would never have thought of myself. She definitely eased the college application process.
~L.F., University of Maryland
Thank you again for everything that you did with me to help develop my ideas. You helped make the whole process a lot easier for me. Along with Cornell, I got into every other one of my schools that I applied to. I look forward to referring friends and family to you as well as reaching out to you in the future.
~M.G., Cornell University
Thank you for all the help that you have given my daughter. Working with you has boosted her confidence in herself and the belief that she can succeed. She was accepted into all of the schools she applied to, and the application process went smoothly thanks to you!
~ Mother of M.S., University of Cortland Honors
Since Mrs. Kashman had been my teacher in freshman English honors, Journalism and Advanced Journalism as well as my adviser of the award-winning newspaper, Spectrum, I knew that there was no one better to help me make my college essay stand out to the admissions committees. Although I knew what I wanted to write about, it was Mrs. Kashman's expertise that guided me to express my love of journalism. Mrs. Kashman would read over all of my essays as well as my supplements and correct them until they were perfected. She would never alter what I wrote; instead, she would make suggestions; she would ask questions to guide me in areas that needed more detail, and she would check my spelling and grammar. Her true talent for this sort of work is remarkable.
